UV Resources Hornet
UV-C light is a simple, cost-effective way to prevent the growth of bacteria and mold on cooling coils and HVAC ductwork. Reducing organic buildup not only results in a cleaner airstream, but reduces pressure drop and overall static pressure, increases heat transfer coefficient, and lowers the fan and refrigeration system energy consumption.
The Hornet, made by UV Resources, is a unit designed for inaccessible HVAC systems or cooling coils, or for smaller applications, such as homes. This low-voltage single unit comes assembled with a lamp, and can be installed from the outside of the equipment. Just cut a small opening, put the Hornet through, and connect to the 24V transformer (included) or hard-wire it. It’s a safe, easy, and simple way to address build-up on coils or in ductwork in those hard-to-access or small spaces.
The Hornet comes with a 17” lamp, power supply, 24V wall adapter, install kit, hole saw, and soft duct plate.
