Purpose-Built for Compressor Discharge
The Micro-LOK JOS Series is specifically engineered to remove lubricating oil aerosols from compressor discharge gas streams. These air/oil separator elements capture sub-micronic oil droplets that would otherwise contaminate downstream processes, damage equipment, or be released to atmosphere—protecting your investment and ensuring regulatory compliance.
How Air Oil Separation Works
1
Oil-Laden Gas Enters
Compressed gas containing lubricating oil aerosols flows into the separator element from the compressor discharge.
2
Coalescing Action
Sub-micronic oil droplets are captured and coalesced into larger droplets as gas passes through the pleated media.
3
Clean Gas Exits
Clean, dry gas exits while coalesced oil drains back to the compressor sump for reuse—typically achieving 2-3 ppm or less.
Key Benefits
Reduced Oil Consumption
Efficient oil capture and return to sump significantly reduces compressor oil consumption and operating costs.
Equipment Protection
Removes oil contamination that causes fouling, corrosion, and premature wear in downstream equipment.
Environmental Compliance
Minimizes oil carryover to meet environmental regulations and reduce atmospheric emissions.
Extended Service Life
High surface area pleated design provides long element life between changeouts—typically 4,000-8,000 hours.
Common Applications
Rotary Screw Compressors
Oil-flooded rotary screw compressor discharge separation for plant air and process gas systems.
Reciprocating Compressors
Remove lube oil aerosols from reciprocating compressor discharge in gas processing facilities.
Natural Gas Compression
