Multi-stage fluid conditioning — coalesce, separate, and polish to remove water, particulate, and varnish-forming compounds.
Turbo-TOC Upgrades
Overview
Turbo-TOC upgrade kits replace OEM elements in existing lube oil conditioning skids with high-performance filtration and water removal stages. The system addresses particulate contamination, free and emulsified water, and total oxidative compounds (TOC) that contribute to varnish formation in turbine lube and hydraulic systems.
System Stages
Pre-filter: Removes gross particulate to protect downstream coalescer from premature loading
Coalescer: Merges fine water droplets into larger droplets for gravity separation (targets emulsified water down to 20 ppm)
Separator: Hydrophobic barrier allows oil passage while rejecting coalesced water to drain
Post-polish: DFE-rated final stage for particulate removal to ISO 16/14/11 or cleaner
Performance Specifications
Free water removal efficiency >95% single-pass at rated flow
Particulate filtration: β₃[C] ≥ 1000 on post-polish stage
Flow rates: 5–50 gpm depending on skid configuration
Operating viscosity range: 10–320 cSt at operating temperature
Compatible with Group I, II, and III mineral oils and PAO synthetics
Applications
Steam and gas turbine lube oil systems
Combined cycle power generation
Compressor lube systems with water ingression
Paper machine lube oil conditioning
Any system requiring simultaneous water removal and fine filtration
Upgrade Benefits
Direct interchange with existing Turbo-TOC housing configurations
Improved water separation vs. OEM elements in degraded oil conditions
Extended element life through optimized media selection
Reduced varnish potential by lowering dissolved water and oxidation byproducts
