Solid-Cast vs. Steel-Mandrel

Because solid cast utility pigs are manufactured as a single piece of polyurethane rather than a steel body with replaceable components, they are significantly lighter. This weight advantage allows for longer runs with less drive pressure, and their flexibility lets them navigate piping configurations that would stop or damage a heavier steel pig.

UFCP — Cup TypeSizes 2"–24"	Two cup solid cast pig in which line pressure seats the outer cup surfaces against the pipe wall for a positive seal. Ideal for product removal, batching, hydrostatic testing, and debris or paraffin removal.
UFCP-W — Cup Type with Brushes	The UFCP design with brushes added for enhanced pipeline cleaning, removing soft to moderate deposits while maintaining the cup type sealing advantage.
UFDP — Disc TypeSizes 2"–36"	Disc based solid cast pig where line pressure seats the disc sealing surfaces against the pipe wall. Same core applications as the UFCP with a disc style sealing geometry.
UFDP-W — Disc Type with Brushes	The UFDP design with brushes added for effective scrubbing and cleaning during routine maintenance runs.
UFDPSE — Square Edge DiscSizes 3"–24"	A Pigs Unlimited original design combining the cleaning power of a square edge disc with the flexibility of a solid cast body. Multiple sealing surfaces provide an optimal seal while the square edge delivers reliable scraping performance for paraffin and soft buildup.
UFDCP — Cup-Disc ComboSizes 4"–20"	Best of both worlds design with a front cup for easy launching, including low pressure systems, a rear cup as the primary propulsion seal, and middle discs for additional sealing and scraping contact. Excellent for passing through check valves, Y-laterals, and tees.
4-Cup Solid CastSizes 6"–16"	Four cup configuration for maximum sealing redundancy, product removal, and debris displacement. Designed for demanding runs where additional cup contact is required.
