Overview & Applications

Replacement cups are the primary sealing and propulsion element on steel mandrel pigs. Line pressure seats the outer edge of the cup against the pipe wall, creating a positive seal that drives the pig and prevents product bypass. Cups are available in two styles and a range of elastomer compounds to suit different pipeline conditions.

Replacement cups for BGC batching pigs, CSB, CRB, SRB, and LRB brush pigs, and other steel mandrel series

Available Types

Standard Scraper Cups2"–14" center rod, 16"–48" bolting pattern	The standard cup profile used across the BGC batching and brush cleaning pig series. Standard 80 Shore A polyurethane, with other elastomers available.
Conical Cups2"–14" center rod, 16"–48" bolting pattern	Tapered cup design used on VP series conical cup pigs. The conical geometry provides a larger wear surface, a smaller bolt circle for better sealing, and the ability to negotiate up to 15% bore reductions and deformations.

Available Options

Elastomer compounds: polyurethane as standard at 80 Shore A, plus neoprene, viton, EPDM, and Buna-N for temperature extremes or chemical resistance
Varying durometers (hardness) for different pipe conditions and bypass requirements
Custom dimensions for non standard pig bodies or special pigging applications
Compatible with Pigs Unlimited pig series and pigs manufactured by others
