Rental tracker systems let you monitor a pig's progress in real time during a run — or locate a stalled pig inside the line — without the capital cost of buying equipment outright. An electromagnetic transmitter rides inside the pig body while a hand-held receiver and wand pick up the signal above ground, on land or in water.

Additional transmitters, wands, and receivers are available. The transmitter activates as soon as batteries are installed and is sized to fit the transmitter cavity of the pig body.

Model 60	Entry-level tracker system for standard pipeline tracking applications
Model 101	Mid-range system with audio and visual signal detection; suits most land and shallow-water applications
Model 200	Enhanced detection capability for deeper or more challenging tracking environments

How It Works

The transmitter is installed in the pig's transmitter cavity before launching.
It emits a continuous radio-frequency electromagnetic signal as the pig travels the line.
Above ground, the operator sweeps with the hand-held wand and receiver to detect the signal.
The receiver gives both audio (tone) and visual (meter) feedback on signal strength.
Signal strength and interference reduction controls on the receiver let the operator tune out noise.
