Two blade designs available: plow blades with a broad flat wiping profile, and rib blades with narrow spring loaded ribs for consistent radial wall contact
Mount in the same configuration as brushes on steel pig bodies, so no pig modification is required when swapping from brushes to blades
Available as individual blade replacements or as complete assembly kits including springs, backing plates, and hardware
Compatible with Pigs Unlimited CSB, CRB, MDB, and VP series pigs, as well as pigs manufactured by others

Blades vs. Brushes

Wire brushes are the right tool for hard scale, rust, and mill scale, but in lines carrying waxy crudes, high paraffin gas, or organic growth deposits, brushes can clog rapidly and lose effectiveness. Polyurethane blades wipe rather than scrub, maintaining consistent wall contact and deposit removal without the fouling risk. Blades are also the preferred choice for coated and plastic pipe where metallic brushes could damage the pipe interior. Many operators use blade equipped pigs for routine maintenance passes and reserve brush pigs for periodic hard scale cleaning runs.
